Description
Phum Kao Bin is the design which, in particular, indicates the Thai culture. In the past, when Thai people wanted to offer the rice to the monks, they would put it on the bowl with a high saucer and make a sharp tip. Today we can see the bowls with the pointed tips but not the ones to be given to the monks but to those we respect. Most of them do not contain rice. They are decorated with flowers such as the globe amaranth flowers. Phum khao Bin is another important master Thai design because it can be extended to other design, e.g. Hang Singha (Lion’s Tail) Design.
